The first annual Totally You conference was an awesome event in many different ways; from the life changing information that came from the dynamic speakers, the new strategic relationships that were formed in a way that only God can do, the atmosphere and spirit of the event, to the beautiful women who attended..
Here is what some are saying:
“The Totally You Conference was a very inspiring and uplifting experience for me. As a recent breast cancer survivor, I wasn't sure if I would be able to attend. I really wanted to support Lavinia,” To Read More Click Here

Sharon Cooper of Opulent Elegance, a Wardrobe Consultant and Professional Bra Fitter started the evening out with the selections from Doncaster line of clothing, an exclusive upscale line of fine women's apparel. She showed us what is appropriate for work and where to draw the line on business casual. She also taught us the importance of investing to build our wardrobe, so that when we go into your closet full of clothes we will not say, “I have nothing to wear”.
Our Custom Fashion Designer Team of Finney and Fair taught the importance of having our clothing tailored for our individual figures. What looks good on one person does not look good on everyone, and that we must learn how to complement our beautiful bodies and not necessarily accentuate.
The glitz and glam, fabulous high fashion and unique accessories were furnished by Nakesia Pierre of Accessorize Me! and Betty Fowler of Park Lane Jewelry who says “If your jewelry cannot be seen from the other side of the road then you do not have enough on!”
As the models prepared for their walk down the runway, I watched everyone work together. Women who had never met before rumbled around the room matching jewelry to outfits, figuring out what would look best. Both presenters helping each other. They all formed a team without being told - there was such a sense of unity. No Strife. Who says women cannot pleasantly work together for a purpose? The purpose was to present a show that would empower YOU! And they did just that!
Saturday morning we began with sistership and breakfast. Pam Frazier challenged us all to make this time special, to keep our hearts and minds open and clear for some personal instructions, clarity and our individual word from God.
We started out with loads of fun with Vision Mapping. There was laughter, rekindling of dreams and purpose, as the ladies cut and pasted their vision. They were having so much fun! Some did not want to stop as the little girl in them came out and they were reminded of how they are in control of their lives and dreams.
From vision mapping the women entered breakout sessions that were personally chosen.
In the Seven Steps to a Healthy Relationship the ladies were challenged to assess their relationships in order to find out how to make room for the proper improvements. They also learned the key ingredients to a healthy relationship.
In Fulfilling Your Purpose Through Debt Free Living the women learned that contrary to popular belief we can get out of debt and owe no man nothin’ but love! They also heard a dynamic testimony to help build their faith in God concerning their finances.
After these two sessions we all went to lunch. We of course ate, talked, met new friends, played a fun game and sang; this was our social time. No kids, no husbands, no work!
We also had a chance to listen to some powerful women from different walks of life and hear how they overcame their trials in life. They told their personal stories. Ann Platz a successful author, speaker and business woman shared her story and gave away some of her books. Stephanie Wolfe a pastor’s wife, wonderful mentor, successful speaker, and author shared how she was a mom and wife at the age of fifteen and how God saved her marriage and her life. Gladys Harris a successful speaker and entrepreneur shared the key ingredients of an overcomer. TJ Alvarado a successful speaker, business woman and leader shared how she overcame abuse and found her way to freedom by realizing that Jesus paid the price for her so that she does not have to. As you can see each testimony different yet powerful. We are strong women! “God’s great idea” as my pastor says.
We had a chance to pray and show our love and unity as we stretched forth our arms and hearts to Bonnie Ross Parker, her son and her family. Her son Glenn had been in intensive care for three weeks. What a moment to see women gather together in faith to gird up, encourage and pray for her. Some not even knowing her, but feeling her pain and believing with her for Glenn’s healing. I gasped as I watched my own mom embrace Bonnie from one mom to another, and her having been in that same place where Bonnie was, and in her heart knowing that God’s love is unfailing and that he still heals. I am my mom’s miracle.
After lunch we went back to our breakouts.
In Unveiling the Conspiracy of our Health the ladies were told the truth about the foods they eat. They also got to see how heavy fat really is and what it looks like. It was a reminder of the need to take care of our bodies.
In Developing Strategic Business Relationships the women learned the importance of how to formulate win - win situations business partnerships and how to get rid of the (WIFM )what’s in it for me attitude. They learned some key marketing strategies to take their businesses and careers to a totally different level.
In Perfecting Your Authentic Image the ladies learned to look inside of their selves and others to see the truth that is within. They also learned how to apply their faith when life is down and the courage to realize you can rise again.
In The Devil Wears Prada the women learned it is not all about what you have but about who you are. They learned about being true to oneself and taking self examinations (not focusing on the other person) in order to have healthy relation ships.
We were women from different cultures, ethnic groups, career paths, ages and backgrounds but in the end we finished on one accord, as one group of powerful, creative, loving, strong women.
We really had an awesome time and I am looking forward to our exciting journey together! Thank you for gathering at the table that God set out for His daughters.

Sharman Lawson founderof Freedom Concepts USA will lead an informative session entitled, Fulfilling Your Purpose through Debt Free Living. Sharman Lawson is living proof that you can live debt-free. Born and raised in Portland, Oregon in a household of 10, including her parents, she learned early in life the concepts of faith in God, taking hold of a vision, practicing discipline, and using wisdom and common sense to realize her dreams. Her mother and her father, an ordained minister, preached and practiced the importance of never being a "slave to the lender."
With over a $100,000 in debt, in 1999, Sharman and her husband paid off all their debt, including their home, in less than five years on a combined income of less than $50,000 a year. That is when she started conducting seminars and educating others on how to manage their money and live debt free. Her testimony is inspiring. She lets you know that it's not your education, your title, your position or the amount of money you make that is important. It's stepping out on faith, trusting God, believing the impossible is possible, and knowing that going after your purpose, passion and dream is better than all the things you sacrificed.
Sharman Lawson is a financial coach, speaker, consultant and author of the book 12 Steps to Eliminate Debt Forever. Sharman regularly speaks at corporations, non-profits, government agencies, and churches.
